Funeral Services for Dallas Edward Loftis will be conducted on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 11:00AM from the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Reeder officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Odd Fellow Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00-9:00PM and Monday after 9:00AM at the funeral home.
Mr. Loftis passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro. Dallas Edward Loftis was born on March 23, 1925 in Putnam County,TN to the late Matt and Alice Skimhorn Loftis. Mr. Loftis was a truck driver for Uniroyal and of the Church of Christ faith. In-addition, Mr. Loftis also served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received the purple heart.
