Ethelene Copeland Ashburn, age 91, was born May 26, 1918 in Overton County, TN. She departed this life on August 13, 2009 in Columbia, TN. Ethelene was preceded in death by her parents, Ada (Ledbetter) and Arkley Copeland and sister, Anna Dean Maynard. She is survived by husband of 70 years, Virgle Othel Ashburn; daughters Barbara Adams and Priscilla Booth; three grandchildren, Ronnie II, Michael Booth (of the gospel trio-The Booth Brothers) and Melissa Booth Sims; eight great grandsons, Ronnie Lee III, Daniel, Christian, Grant, Andrew, Jonathan, Jared, Austin and step-great grandchildren Amy and Jonathan Duncan.
Family viewing will be at the Whitson Funeral Home, Cookeville, TN at 11 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2009, with services following at 1 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ronnie & Michael Booth, Tom & Joe Ashburn, Jerry & Eddie Maynard & Eddie Sims. Interment will be at Okalona Cemetery. |
