  CHARLIE F. HUNTER  
  Funeral services for Charlie F. Hunter, age 89 of Cookeville, will be held on Tuesday October 20, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with burial in the Morgan Pippin Cemetery. Bro. Carl Sims and Bro. Clarence DeLoach will officiate at the services. Kim Wheeler will give the Eulogy.

The family will receive friends on Monday October 19, 2009 from 3:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and on Tuesday October 20, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. till time of the services.

Mr. Hunter passed away on Saturday October 17, 2009 at his home.
He was born February 28, 1920 in the 7th District of Putnam Co., TN to the late Alphus and Hattie Whitson Hunter. He was a lifelong resident of Putnam Co., and beloved husband on Mary Ethel Clark Hunter who passed two years ago. Charlie was a veteran of WWII and received the Purple Heart. He opened his own Welding and Machine shop after the war and began work at Tennessee Tech in 1959. Charlie was a historian, author, painter, and inventor in addition to his vocation. Mr. Hunter was a member of the Willow Ave Chuch of Christ.
