Funeral services for A.R.Smith will be conducted on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 2:00PM from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Algood City Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. A.R. Smith was born on July 12, 1931 in Overton County, TN to the late Roy L. and Ora Ulysses Davis Smith. A.R. was a truck driver for Southern Beer Company in Nashville, TN. He later went to work for T.V.A. In addition he served in the United States Army and Air Force. He was of the Baptist faith.
